Bride/Groom to Be

You’re getting married, and you’re not sure what to look for or even what questions to ask a photographer. I am hoping that this page not only can answer some random questions, but also break down pricing, and how the photography aspect takes part in your special day!

A few details to note:

  • Saturday minimums are $1500.
  • A non-refundable $100 deposit is due to secure your date.
  • A contract will be given to you via email!
  • We will meet in person (for Fort Wayne people) at least once to discuss scheduling, for everyone else this will be done over Facetime/calling!
  • Discounts available to military, couples going into Ministry, and students (still students after wedding)!

Now, before you read the prices, which I know is a big factor in all of this, please know that even if I were to only shoot 3 hours of your wedding, I’d still be editing close to 250-300 photos because the majority of the photos are taken within the same time frame (bride/groom portraits, bridal party, family, ceremony). Know that for every 1 hour I am physically present with you, I am editing at least 3 hours behind the scenes. So 7 hours with you, is at least 21 hours of editing at home.

As a photographer, I also take on the unsaid job of pretty much organizing and timing your entire day (we will meet and I will help you construct your entire schedule!). It is my responsibility (until the reception when the DJ takes over) to ensure your day goes smoothly. Think that’s the job of a coordinator? Nope. I’ve been to almost 100 weddings and I can promise you, if the role is done correctly, this is the job of the photographer. Why? Because we know the timing needed for not only photos, but how long each individual event can take, and how it effects the schedule. AND, I’m with you the whole day. So please remember you are paying for not only quality and creatively crafted photos, but for a team player that will help your day flow effortlessly.

Tips/Tricks/Ideas!

  • If you need recommendations on flowers, makeup, hair, or DJ’s, ask me and I have some I can recommend to you!
  • Believe it or not I love details and planning, so if you are just totally lost on how to make a schedule, shoot me an email and I’d love to help!
  • If you are in between doing a first look or not, I would opt for doing one. This helps the schedule flow so much better when you are able to get all of the photos (besides family) done before the ceremony so your hungry guests aren’t waiting for 2 hours. If you don’t, then just plan accordingly for cocktail hours and travel time to different locations!
